St. Pius X was founded in 1956 as an co-educational Catholic high school providing a college preparatory, Catholic education for young people to strengthen the Catholic faith in Albuquerque. The school has developed into a thriving institution with a reputation for scholastic and athletic excellence and has, from its founding, seen a significant portion of its alumni not only go to college but become leaders who have contributed greatly to their fields of endeavor, their community, and country.
